Cerberus

HellhoundCerberus is one of those many-headed monsters roaming the Greek mythology landscape. More specifically, a three headed (okay, some people disagree about how many heads he has, but let’s go with three) dog. The offspring of Echidna and Typhon, Cerberus guards the entrance to the underworld. Once an entity has crossed from earth to the underworld by way of the river Styx, Cerberus ensures that they cannot go back across to the world of the living. He was famously captured by Heracles, without the use of weapons, and dragged out of the underworld.

With this sort of monster, there seemed only one avenue to take: 80s horror. A group of hot 20 somethings go camping in the wilderness looking for lust and liquor in the worst possible place. Once they realize they’ve crossed the fabled river Styx and bloodthirsty Cerberus is hot on their trail, they scramble to get back to shore. Will Brunhilda finally lose her virginity? Does Jake still look cool in his leather jacket when he’s running for his life? Will Valerie allow her new perm to get wet in the river? And when a three headed hellhound is out for your flesh, is there really any escape? All this and more in HELLHOUND by Allison Page.
